On Tuesday 22nd September, the Year 8 netball teams travelled to Le Rocquier for an exciting afternoon of friendly matches. It was a fantastic day for Haute Vallée, with our teams putting in an incredible amount of effort, determination and teamwork.
Across the three Year 8 games, Haute Vallée came away with two brilliant victories! The A and B teams played exceptionally well, showing great teamwork and resilience throughout their matches. Although the C team narrowly missed out on victory by just one point, they played a fierce and competitive game and should be extremely proud of their performance.
The success did not stop there, as other Haute Vallée year groups also celebrated victories throughout the afternoon. It was a fantastic display of the talent and dedication within our school’s netball teams.
The Year 8 teams are now looking forward to their next challenge. On Tuesday 29th September, Haute Vallée will face JCG in another friendly match. We wish all our players the very best of luck and hope they can continue their winning form!
With more matches planned for Tuesdays and occasionally Thursdays, as well as training sessions every Wednesday, there are plenty of opportunities for our teams to develop their skills and prepare for the upcoming tournaments. With the hard work and commitment everyone has already shown, we are excited to see what the rest of the season will bring.
We would also like to give a huge thank you to all the teachers and students who support our teams, umpire the matches and encourage our players. Their time, kindness and dedication make these events possible. A special thank you also goes to our bus drivers for safely getting us to and from the matches — even through the traffic!
Finally, a massive congratulations to all of our netball players and coaches on an amazing start to the season. Keep up the hard work, keep supporting one another, and most importantly, keep enjoying your netball!
Good luck, Haute Vallée — bring on the next match!
